Randy S. Payne, age 52, of Parkers Prairie, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, following a lengthy illness, at St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Parkers Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Kirk Lee officiating.
Randy Scott Payne was born November 9, 1960, to Eugene and Marion (Miller) Payne in Valentine, Nebraska. He and his family lived in Nebraska for a short time before moving to Hopkins, Minnesota, where he attended public school. In 1973, they moved to Parkers Prairie where he graduated from Parkers Prairie High School. Following his education, Randy worked construction with his father, Gene for a few years before moving to Savage where he worked at a recycling plant. Randy returned to Parkers Prairie in 1996, and worked for Dan Wittmer Construction until his health failed in the summer of 2011. Randy enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marion in 1996; grandparents, Melvin and Ethel Miller and Calvin and Thelma Payne; and uncles and aunts.
Randy is survived by his father, Gene (Barb) Payne of Parkers Prairie; three brothers, Steven (Terri) Payne and Gregory both of Parkers Prairie and Douglas (Carol) Payne of Eden Prairie; step-brother, Joey (fiancée, Karen Eggebraaten) Simonson of Parkers Prairie; goddaughter, Jamie Payne of Eden Prairie; special cousin and friend, Arlene Andreen of Parkers Prairie; along with several nieces and nephews.
