Kathern Ann Edenloff

Kathern "Kathy" Hensley Edenloff, beloved daughter of George W. and Kizzie D. (Lee) Hensley, passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Wevaco, West Virginia, Kathy moved to Minnesota in June of 1955, where she soon met the love of her life, Fred W. Edenloff, Jr. The two fell in love and married on May 17, 1956, in Osakis, Minnesota, building a life filled with devotion, laughter, and love. Together, they raised four children: Danny (Karen) of Alexandria, Dora (Mark) Striemer of Brainerd, Darla (Scott) Calverley of North Branch, and Scotty (Shawn) of Brandon.

Kathy’s life was one of warmth, kindness, and a deep appreciation for simple joys. She found comfort and community in New Life Christian Church, where her faith was a guiding light. She had a love for quilting, playing cards, and putting puzzles together, always treasuring time spent with family and friends. She delighted in watching birds, singing old-time hymns, and listening to music that lifted her soul. Baking anything sweet to share was a trademark of her generosity, filling her home with the scent of love and laughter. She also had a special bond with Dora’s dog, Daryl, whose companionship brought her great joy. Her presence brought happiness to all who knew her, and her legacy of love will be cherished forever.

She is also survived by her brother Chub (Jan) Hensley of Osakis and her sister Deloris Oaster of Hanover, PA. Kathy was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also cherished her numerous nieces and nephews, who brought joy and laughter into her life.

Awaiting her in Heaven are her parents, George W. and Kizzie D. Hensley; husband, Fred W. Edenloff Jr.; father-in-law, Fred Edenloff Sr.; siblings George, Jimmy, Minnie Catherine, John, Leonard, Stella Mae, Jennie, Jackie Lee, Louis, and Frank. She is also reunited with her beloved grandsons, Sterling and Samuel Striemer, and granddaughter Irene Edenloff.

A private graveside service will be held at Sauk Valley Church Cemetery in rural Osakis.

A time of fellowship and memory sharing will be held in the fellowship hall of New Life Christian Church on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 4-6 pm for any and all who wish to pay respects and share any stories about the wonderful life of Kathy Edenloff.
