Delia Mary (Lynch) Doege was born in Frederick, Wisconsin, on March 3, 1935 to Henrietta (Herold) and Sinon Lynch. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Agnes Roelke, Michael Lynch and Patrick Lynch and survived by her brothers Henry and Tom Lynch and sister Teresa Erkens. Delia’s early years were spent growing up on the family farm in Centuria, Wisconsin, where she also developed a love of music. She pursued music and voice, winning regional awards and attending state competitions for her singing. As a young adult, she attended business college in Minneapolis, later working as a secretary. She then met and married Joseph Doege, having five children together – Cynthia McKenna, Robin (Stacey) Doege, Gerald (Candice) Doege, Michelle (Vindu Balani) Doege and Rosemarie (Bret) Doege-Dryden. In their home in Forest Lake, Minnesota, Delia was hard-working and innovative in nurturing and sustaining their growing family. As the children grew, she also worked at a local shoe store and was a Mary Kay beauty consultant for many years. Later in life, she found joy in her grandchildren – Nicole McKenna, Kyle McKenna, Jacob (Madi) Doege, Jenna Doege, Kelly Jo (Casey) Snead and Finnian Dryden – connecting with each in a special way, and her precious great grandchildren – Grey and Locklen Snead. Delia’s Catholic faith and spirituality were very important to her in her life. She also loved music, singing and art – time away at her cabin in the woods. She valued living simply, always appreciative of the natural world. Delia and her family are immensely grateful to the hospice and care staff at St. Benedict's Home for their outstanding, generous and kind end of life care. She will be missed by her family and those who knew her well.
